Joshua & Cassidy Bontrager

Hi, I’m Joshua! It’s great to finally meet you! Before we begin, let me tell you about my heritage, my passions, and the purpose of this blog.

I am deeply grateful to Christ and to my parents for who I am today. Growing up, my parents taught me work ethic, responsibility, diligence, and varied life skills on our dairy, hog, and crop farm. Additionally, they taught me a love for others, communication skills, and flexibility as our family ministered across the United States, Canada, and Mexico in a 45-foot bus.

My parents also instilled in me an invaluable love for God’s Word. My nine rambunctious siblings taught me how to love and work with all personalities and types of people. Above all, God blessed me with salvation and a godly heritage.

Whenever I’m asked what I do, I have to answer, “a little bit of everything.” Half of the year, I stay busy hauling grain, milking cows, or completing daily chores and projects on my Dad’s farm. The other half I stay busy singing, speaking, and playing, with my family’s traveling band, The Bontrager Family Singers. To fill in the cracks, I enjoy writing, studying/memorizing God’s Word, and reading titles on history, politics, business, leadership, worldviews, and Christian heroes of the faith.

None of what I do would be possible without the support of my lovely wife, Cassidy. She is an incredibly virtuous, creative, loving, and beautiful wife who inspires me to follow God’s call wherever it leads. Life has never been the same since our marriage on September 1, 2017! God’s goodness grows richer every day!

Above all, I am a passionate lover of God’s truth. In a world filled with darkness and sin, God’s truth still transforms lives. As Christ said in John 8:31-32, “If ye continue in my Word, then are ye my disciples indeed, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”

At, my passion is to apply God’s truth to every area of life, including politics, church, family, culture, and worldviews. Through my blog posts each Tuesday, I pray that you will be pointed towards God’s Word as the reason for everything you do.

I pray that you will move past the giants of popular opinion and feeling to the never-changing truth of God’s Word. I hope that you will be inspired to abide in Christ’s Word daily in order to “do all to the glory of God” (I Corinthians 10:31).
