It’s hard to believe that one year ago today, one mile from where I now live, I gazed into my lovely bride Cassidy’s trusting eyes, as we exchanged vows and joined together in the covenant of marriage.
The past year has truly been the most blessed year of my life. I have discovered that God was right when He proclaimed, “It is not good that the man should be alone” (Genesis 2:18). As Proverbs says, “He that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord.”
The past year, you have shown me what it means to be a woman of true virtue and godliness. You have believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself and awakened within me that which was noble, godly, and true. I’m daily amazed at your grace, depth of character, love for the Lord, and your unending support. Your laughter and joy is the best seasoning my life knows.
One year ago, I had no idea how much fun living life with you would be. I don’t know what the future may hold, but I know it will be thrilling with you by my side, as we serve the Lord together. I love you!
Please join us the next two Tuesdays as we share the lessons we learned our first year of marriage, what we’re grateful we did, and what we’d do differently! Additionally, come back next Friday to view “The Year in Pictures,” as we reflect on our first year of memories together.
